2025 Beijing Modern Music Festival

Supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and hosted by the Central Conservatory of Music, the national-level music and arts extravaganza – the 2025 Beijing Modern Music Festival – will be grandly held in Beijing from May 15th to May 20th. After twenty-two years of refinement, the Beijing Modern Music Festival has matured through continuous exploration and has developed into the most extensive and influential modern music and cultural event in China. It has also become one of the most watched modern music festivals globally.

Through long-term development, the Beijing Modern Music Festival has gradually formed a structural model with its own characteristics. Its main content includes popularizing modern music, promoting domestic and international cultural and artistic exchanges, and providing a high-quality development platform for young musicians. After years of accumulation, the festival has achieved a vast number of musical accomplishments, including over four hundred various high-quality concerts, more than one hundred lectures and masterclasses covering rich content, and the publication of a large number of academic books, scores, and audio-visual products.

The 2025 Beijing Modern Music Festival continues the festival's philosophy of disseminating the spirit of modern music. Under the advocacy of Artistic Director Professor Ye Xiaogang, while continuing to maintain its academic and forward-looking nature, it will closely connect art with social progress, gradually reaching out to the public, and disseminating the spirit of modern music in a more accessible way.
